 Hi there
I'm receiving an update/installation message "ntl:home regrets it no longer supports correct connect. For more info see ntlworld.com/help". I can't find anything on ntlworld.com! I'm running Mac OS 9.2, and wondering how I'll access ntl broadband without correct connect!?! so far I've been clicking 'decline upgrade'...
Thanks in advance!
I've never used mac OS 9.2 or correct connect, but I'm sure it will work fine without it, if your using a network connection then it should just work fine. I've done networking under 8.1 and it managed it fine.
If your on USB then I'm not sure, but I'd recommend using a network connection instead if you have one free.
:welcome: to nthellworld.
Not sure how far back all Macs have had Ethernet, but it's a good long way, and Ethernet is the easiest way to connect to broadband, far better than USB. Correct Connect is the old ntl help software, which was always optional, and most users seem to manage without it or its successor.
If your on USB then I'm not sure, but I'd recommend using a network connection instead if you have one free. There are no USB drivers for cable modems on Apple Macs, so I can guarantee that the original poster is using ethernet from the Mac.
correct connect is nothing more than a diagnostic tool, it does not maintain the connection what so ever
you can remove it and it the connection would still work
correct connect has been replaced by broadband medic
however bbmedic is only available to pc users, not mac users so the upgrade process will probably just uninstall the software
