Just where and who does it go to?

Another question too, say you request something from overseas, does it all come from fibre under the seas or satellites aswell?

I assume you mean the larger backbone links that link the world together?

AFAIK many telco's install the links and then either share the cost (of install) or rent them out to other telco's

With regards 2nd Q - Right answer is probably both, but I would guess majority come under the sea!

About the bandwidth costs, i meant about when people mention about heavy users costing more to ntl then what they get out of them, where do these costs go to, did you mean that to use these links, this would be the sort of thing ntl bandwidth costs would go to?
