Hello all,

I tried searching but couldnt find the answers.

Im only 8months in to my ntl phone+tv but im now moving in with my girlfriend who already has ntl. I would have thought this came under the Unfair Terms of Contract Act but ntl said i still have to pay the line rental for the phone at least even thought the phone will be disconnected!

Anyone know about this?

has your girlfriend had her contract more than 12 months? If so suggest to NTL that the remainder of your contracted period is transferred to your new home.

Does sound a bit odd to me, if you moved house to a non NTL area, they couldnt force you to pay for it so moving to a house where you already have NTL would surely be the same.

Speak to the retentions people at NTL

It's possible that if you both threatened to cancel if they don't do what you want, they'd bend over backwards to accomodate... but that'd be a risky tactic to try.
