Is it just me or were those rather stunning?
I was watching on the TV at the time at a house party and the firework & light show was amazing.
Apparently the same guy designed it who did the Millenium fireworks in Paris and also the recent Olympics.

I seen them too I was sat there amazed the wife said to me wheres that New York? I said no you Dime Bar it's London. :dunce: :dunce: :dunce: I liked the bit where they came out of the big wheel, absolute class. The guys who did them were Spanish and it took 6 days to set it all up. Well done London :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

I take it that the downward pointing flares didn't set fire to any nearby buildings. :)

Agreed it was an absolutely stunning display normally I look at Sydney and admire there display for NYE but this year London outdid everybody, and Id like to say how impressed I was at the impeccably observed 2 minutes silence!

London did us proud this year.

What annoyed me was the BBC coverage.

The designed intended you to watch the display from the (Victoria?) embankment, but the producer kept switching camera angles (including views of the crowd) so we didn't get to see the full glory of the display.

However, what I did see was pretty impressive!
