Network access code missing

I have bought a PS2 network adapter and cant find the network access code for the life of me. Am I right in saying this should come on a seperate card? If not, then where should I be looking for it please?

Well I phoned Sony and they gave me a new code. Cant believe there was someone there on xmas day!
