Playboy TV/Adult Channel Split

Hi,

Since the change where Playboy TV now runs all through the night, NTL seem to have completely dropped any form of access to the Adult Channel even through ppv. Any news on whether they plan to offer access to this channel again.

Its probably just a screw up, but as far as i know, u have to subscribe to these sorts of channels??

Someone will probably tell me im wrong in a minute, but thats how i understand it...

Not to sure but I think they shared the channel so Jim is now asking how Adult channel can be accessed if the channel is in use all night by another broadcast. (and yes it is subscription channels in question)
Anyone noticed that no-one is rushing to answer ;)

i live in notts. on my on screen guide it says "Playboy TV & TAC" so as far as i can see the channels are still joined...i dont watch the porn channels cos they are crap...does ntl plan to seperate the channels?...sky has but i dont know if telewest have, does any1 know?

you go on k-lite and download the stuff from there, burn to VCD and no subscription needs paying :D

ntl only show the first freeviews (8:30-private blue, 10:00-red hot, playboy, tvx) cos if they had the 12:00 freeview aswell the companies would have to pay ntl to do this as they dont have control of the channel on cable as they do on sky!

I wish they'd remove the blasted things altogether ... If I'm half asleep late in the evening and accidentally press 'channel down' instead of 'channel up' from BBC1 I hate getting a p0rn channel up on my TV screen. It's bad enough having the banner there; it's even worse if there's a free showing on at the time...

NTL have already separated the channel but unlike Sky they appear to have dropped AC completely.

if you dont want to accidentally switch to the channel, just put a time/channel lock on it...cant remember exactly how to do it, but its in teh tv/channel setup somewhere on the epg...
anyway, i dont need a tv for pron...what the hell do you think broadband is for...LOL

oh and before people start complaining about pron spoiling the internet, you wouldnt have 99% of the technology that you use if it wasnt for pron ( oh and war...thats a big chunk of it too ;) )

The Adult Channel will be relaunced in November on Digital as a seperate channel. The reason for the removal is that Playboy TV extended their hours to start at 8pm.

Thanks for the news re November, actually I thought the reason for the change was that PBTV extended their hours to run all night, they have started at 8pm for a long time.
