Hello! My old bank (Bank of Scotland - avoid like the plague) managed to screw up my direct debit instructions with NTL and 1 payment was returned to NTL.
My new bank were very nice and set up a new DD, and NTL took payment for my missed bill by card over the phone... and backdated the next bill so I wouldn't get caught by the £2 charge... I thought for a while I would still get charged and have to go through the usual rigmarole of complaining, getting it taken off, then it mysteriously re-appears...
All went through, no charge, so YAY! to ntl!
Credit where it's due (pardon the pub) and stuff...
