Wednesday, apparently ( according to http://webhome.idirect.com/~jhonz/DAY_FOR_DATE.HTM ).

I do wonder about what people wonder about sometimes (if that makes any sense :spin: ).

Sunday - and I found an absolute revelation!

I put my date of birth into that linky type thing in punkys post which told me it was Sunday.

THEN I put my twin brothers date of birth in and  he was born on a Sunday too! Who'd have thought that would happen :D

It is the complete opposite for me. All 5 members of my family (myself included) were born on different days of the week.

Just curious. We were discussing it at school the other day so I wondered about you lot.

I do wonder about what people wonder about sometimes (if that makes any sense :spin: ). According to that website i was born on Tuesday. My mum thinks that it was a Thursday.

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child born on the Sabbath Day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.

I, of course, as I'm sure my family would agree, am full of grace.

I forgot to say I was born on a Thursday.

Why don't you just change the calendar on the computer if it goes back enough. Never checked. If not just search it in Google for news on that day.

Well, trying to calculate probabilities is an almost sure-fire way of ending up with egg on your face but, what the hell, here goes.

Child 1 is born on a given day.

The probability of the child 2 being born on a different day is 6/7.

The probability of child 3 being born on a different day from the above 2 is 5/7.

The probability of child 4 being born on a different day from the above 3 is 4/7.

The probability of child 5 being born on a different day from the above 4 is 3/7.

The probability of all the above happening is (6/7)(5/7)(4/7)(3/7) = 0.15 to 2 dp, that is 15%; small, but by no means negligible.

I shall now await for mathematical coals of fire to fall on my head. :)

Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday seem to be the most popular day to be born on. Wednesday, Friday and Monday are the next in that order of Monday been the least popular.

I think popular is the wrong wording. No one chooses the day of their birth. :erm:

No, but the parents can, nowadays. Induced, caesarian, what have you.
