The new directory enquiries services

The old BT 192 directory enquiries is now closed. Go to this BBC article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3177087.stm) and click on the link marked Open, then read with a suitably cynical air. I know which well-advertised number I will definitely not be using!

Of course, these figures just apply to land lines. Apparently the mobile phone service companies have decided that Christmas has come early for them. :rolleyes:
