Hi,
Can anyone help me with a query please! I am hoping to install a wireless adsl router for a friend who is on broadband basic at the moment... looking at BT's site it says that you cannot share the connection with more than 1 PC. My question firstly is can it be done and secondly will BT know that it's being done and ask my friend to stop/upgrade?

Many thanks for any help!
Gary

BT don't support more than one PC, nor will they support your wireless router.

Having said that, there's no reason for them to know you are using a router and more than one PC;)

Thanks Stuart!
Is this something you have tried? I just need to be sure it will work! I was wondering how Bt could tell anyway? :D

Before I had Ntl installed I was on BT broadband with a router.

I didn't have any issues with it and a few friends have networks set up with no problems from BT at all.

Broadband Basic, Isnt that the 1Gb or 2Gb jobby. 2 Pcs wouldnt be a good plan with that cap, it will go over in hours!
