This power outage has really influenced the gas prices over here because the refinaries had to shut down and power up. In addition, the pumps had no electricity so they couldn't fill the trucks. It went up from around 66¢ per liter to 78¢ per liter today. (Canadian pennies)

In British terms that is from about UKP 0.28 per liter to UKP 0.35 per liter.

:( :( :mad:

as Lord Nikon quite rightly said its still half the price of the stuff over here, count yourself lucky that your not paying our prices in the first place :-(

gas = petrol
liter = litre

:rolleyes:

Whose language is it anyway? ;)

Bummer for you, that is a bit of a stonking increase in prices. Still, as the good Lord above just posted, you want to try living with prices of at least 75p per litre day in, day out.

Petrol is short for Petroleum Gasoline!

Litre is a French word!

Wow, thats a lot of taxation. OK I don't envy you for your gas, err, petrol prices then. It is just that this is a rather sharp increase for us because it usually hovers around 65 to 70 Canadian cents per liter.

Yeah, if you take the tax off British petrol we have the cheapest in all Europe!
