£10,000 to £12,000 ? That has to be a joke of some sort right?

I'd take their hands off for that wage.
Mind you Chesire is a little far for me to commute to.
Seriously though, In Teesside thats above the starting wage for something similar.

So?
It's a start for someone? :D
Beats working in CS for NTL.
But for someone to have the "Good" SQL skills surely they'd be pulling more than this anyway? I'd reckon about 17-19K for a trainee SQL DBA...No that's not an offer!

it may be a joke but for cheshire/ staffordshire it is about the average wage :(
but there is an upside to that, you can still get pint for £1-50
(£1 when theres a promotion on)
a terraced house will cost you about £30000 and there are plenty of semi detached about for under £80000
you can't do that anywhere south of watford ;)

The job description says, "You will be responsible for the categorization of web sites & spam emails & updating the database."
Not what I would call an IT job; sounds more like the IT version of a filing clerk.
