Hi,
I am currently on NTL BB 750k, & was connected about a month ago.
Im considering upgrading to 1.5mb (which i assume would get me speeds of 180k? max.), which I did last year in a different house (600k-->1mb).
I was just wondering is phoning CS the only way this can be done or am I able to upgrade somehow online.

Also I was wondering whether I can upgrade and downgrade a few times during my 9 month (student) contract, because im not sure I would want 1.5mb all year & might not be able to afford it either :(

Still not sure what to do, but thought I would ask how changing my BB package works before going ahead with the upgrade.

Thanks In Advance
(p.s. hope this is posted in the right section of the forum)

You might be able to upgrade online:
https://packageswitch.autoregister.net/scripts/login/login.asp?act=package

It's probably better to phone CS though as they will be abel to do it quite swiftly whereas the online bit may in fact get stuck in some queue on some forgotten PC in ntl towers waiting for authorisation.

Not scrictly true....if you have a cable modem you can upgrade online, if you get it from a STB then you need to ring customer services.

If you upgrade online it happens just as quick as if you ring customer services as you are logging onto the same server as c/s do to do it for you.

You are able to change your package as often as you like as long as you keep any change for 30 days .

Hope that makes sense and :welcome: to the forum :D

Folloing that link I get:

Please choose a new Internet package.
Your current package is: Residential On Net - Cable Modem.
Sorry, there are no new packages available at this time.
(with cancel button below)

Looks like if I decided to go ahead with upgrade, it'll be through cs.

Thanks for the help
