Hi,
Wondering if anyone has manged to share their connection between desktop and laptop? I need to use my connection to connect to a work server but cannot seem to get the connection to set up correctly, without knackering the desktop connection!!
Any ideas pleeeeeease??!!:Yikes:
im afarid ntl only supply one ip address so you cannot connect 2 computers directly to the modem
you could connect the modem one of the computers and connect the computers together and run internet connection sharing on the computer with the modem
Or you may wish to invest in a broadband router which will enable to share your connection between mulitple computers
how much it costs depends if you would want wireless or not.
having a router gives you the advantage of not needing to have the second computer on to gain internet access.
