i've just used robin's speed test and got these results :-
Wed, 6 Oct 2004 17:49:19 UTC
1st 128K took 1082 ms = 121139 Bytes/sec = approx 1008 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 1051 ms = 124712 Bytes/sec = approx 1038 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 1062 ms = 123420 Bytes/sec = approx 1027 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 1071 ms = 122383 Bytes/sec = approx 1018 kbits/sec
Thats on the 1mb service (not been upgraded yet :( )
Well haven't ran any test but i'm getting anywhere between 150 and 200 Kb/s from shareaza on a 600/750 bb conection :)

seems to be ok now but i have no idea why.
Tried test on PC 1 and got the above results
Tried test on PC 2 and it was fine
Both are connected via a router.
Swapped Ethernet cables and no change
Swapped Ethernet card to back up card in PC 1 and no change.
Swapped ports in the router and no change.
Took router out of the equation, connected PC 1 direct to CM and rebooted both.
Everything was ok
Connected router back in and rebooted CM, Router and PC and everything looks normal now

1st 128K took 1462 ms = 89653 Bytes/sec = approx 746 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 1442 ms = 90896 Bytes/sec = approx 756 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 1452 ms = 90270 Bytes/sec = approx 751 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 1452 ms = 90270 Bytes/sec = approx 751 kbits/sec
Which is really weird as before i started this thread i rebooted the CM, Router and PC and checked all the connections.
grrrrrrrrr i hate solutions like this
Well at least it's fixed. :)
