Losing Internet Connection

Hi is anyone losing internet connection of there broadband connection, I live in the Manchester area and recently I have had to switch off my cable modem and switch it back on to get my connection back.

I try an ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew but it only timeouts unless I switch it off and back on again.

Its getting fairly annoying now

I assume you have NTL BB?

Have you phoned the NTL customer services?

nope not yet, wanted to check whether this is a problem that is been dealt with first before i did that

Do you lose any of the status lights on the front of the Cable modem when your connection drops?

no all the lights are on but they don't flash
