On the connection tab in pref set the download capacity to 96k and the upload capacity to 10k. Also put the same settings in the Download/Upload section to the right. I have been using these settings for a few hours and all seems fine I am downloading at 60k and uploading at 9-10k. Browsing is a bit slow (which i can live with)I am currently using Emule 0.42g

I have not been having a problem with my Samsung
using BT(shadows experimental) I usually d/l @ up to 110 (usually 60 - 70) and u/l 18 - 22 simultaneously

Emule 0.44b is usually slow both ways anyway even though my ID is on average 2533452501

Isn't that calculated from your IP address in some way? The size of the number doesn't matter, it's just whether or not it's low or high (low can't download from low, high can download from either).

Limiting upload and download speed should definitely help, as should forcing the connection to 10Mb/half duplex. Investigations are ongoing though.

Nope, before I sorted my router my ID used to be low in the 3000 - 4000 range.

my connection is the same as anorak2001 since my box was changed the connection is really poor for p2p im gonna wait for the eventual speed increase to see if that sorts it out but if it doesnt what should i do? get a cable modem or ask for a new box? not much boint having 1.5mbit running at 512k speeds.
