Im sorry if this topic has been covered a few times - i have searched and not found anything so far -

I subscribe to the 1mb broadband service, and was eagerly awaiting a free 50% upgrade, according to the ntl website,my area was upgraded in august but as yet i still have no extra speed.
I did contact Tech support a "very nice man";) there told me to go to download.com ,download adaware.exe and check the speed, if it was around 112kbs then thats as it should be .
Surely not , as i have always been able to acheive around the 120 kbs mark with my 1mb line - i think 180 would be more like with a 50% increase:confused:

Has anyone else had issues with the speed upgrade - i cant beleive im unique:) - and how did you get it sorted .

I have a terrayon tj210 router if that could make any difference.
Thx ..

http/www.ntlworld.com/data-feeds/editorial/microsites/upgrade/checker.php

Check your postcode area there, if you want also PM me your MAC ID from the modem and I can check it.

Useful link that, thank you Kev.

Unbelievably, it says my upgrade will happen in November!!! I think that has somewhat slipped past the 'late summer' deadline - but hey ho!

But very nice lady in wales .:Yikes: has just deleted my modem from the database and put it back into the system manually .. we now have full speed.

PS - If the NTL Tech Support guy who told me to check my speeds using download.com happens to read this thread ... i hope you cringe with embarresment ya freakin noob.:D :D :D

Thx again .. gaz
