Hi,
Can anyone point me in the right direction or advise me where to begin.
I'd like to learn Spanish but don't want to go and pay loads for night classes. I'd want to learn myself if possible.
Anyone know any good guides or where to begin ?

Thanks.

Rosetta Stone (http://www.rosettastone.com/ind/catalog?affiliate=google) software is very good. E-Bay often sells it :tu: :)

It needs a headset because you can speak to it and get feedback. I have the French explorer version

Look up the open university schedule on BBC2 and find the Spanish ones. They are usually on about 2/3am so tape them and have a watch :) should be helpful :D

move to Spain - or Mexico, or large parts of Central & South America ;)

- but all you really need is 'demi litro vino tinto, por favor' :D

Yeah, easiest way is to get a girlfriend whose native language is the one you wanna learn. Worked for me ;)
