600k>750k ntl upgrade (no sign)

Hey, my area was supposedly updated to 750k the first week of august, however I've seen no improvement in download speed, whereas my friends have (one lives about 5 miles away from me the other in leicester)

I emailed ntl and got some carp email back babbling on about rubbish thinking i'm some kind of noob who cannot distinguish between the speeds.

Any idea of what I can do guys? Perhaps my modem (1 year old) cannot handle it? :confused:

Well as far as i know Leicester has been upgraded.

Which Modem do you have ???

Have you rebooted the Modem.

Need a bit more info here.

If rebooting is turning it on and off, yes. If not - no.

I live in Northampton area.

The modem on my pc comes up as, "USB Cable Modem 351000" on the bottom of the modem it says ntl home 120.

edit: just realised that ntl thread was 99 pages long - lol!

leicester officialy is been upgraded in cotober.

some of us have it early tho :)
