1.5MBit Upload Speeds is slow????

When I upload to a friends FTP, I can upload at a maximum of 30kb, someone who also has NTL 1.5MBit said they can upload at a maximum of 40kb, are they jus talking sh*t or is my upload f'ed.

I also like to add that I do not connect to my Local NTL HTTP Proxy, because it slows my speed way down to like 40kb download speed. I am currently using this NTL Proxy 80.3.0.40:8080

in short you can only get a maximum of 30kb/s on the 1.5mbit service, thats the configuration for every NTL user, programs can sometimes show incorrect upload speeds.

Uploading at 30kB/s is perfect, i can sustain 32 to one server; your friend is talking out of his arse saying he can do 40, its not possible.
