hi, i'm in Derby. my network didn't work last night around 9:00.
i've check the IP address, that's 80.6.*.*. normal, is it? .
and i've used IPconfig, the information of my networks seems fine as well.

finally, i ping www.yahoo.com (http://www.yahoo.com). 0% loss??? isn't that weird? i still cannot surf the web, even msn messenger??

this morning, i reinstalled the windowsXp, but the problem still there???

what's happened to my network???
thanks for any comment.
(btw: i'm using Samsung, STB)

Try changing your proxy. The local one you're one may be having problems.

In IE, goto Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Lan Settings.

Tick the "Use a proxy server...." box and enter:

Host: bagu-cache-1.server.ntli.net
Port: 8080

Then close IE, reopen it and try and surf...

SP2 has made this question invalid. The proper question now is "Do you think you have the XP firewall active, and are you aware that SP2 turns the firewall on, just for a laugh?"

I can online now, but still don't know the reason.......

reinstalled XP this evening again, and everything back to normal.... the only thing i can explain is it looks like my network had a two days holiday then.
