I tried to access a website this evening SVP (http://www.svp.co.uk) to order a few blank disk & a new dvdr writer, now getting to the website front page is fine until i started to click on the products link & recieved (after a few mins of the browser trying to load the page) server not found anyway i emailed SVP to let them know of the problem...

the last time i looked at this web site was Monday night this week.

i have just recieved a very quick reply from SVP

Hi,

Thank you for your email.

We've had reports that NTL/AOL customers are experiencing problems viewing our website. Please contact your ISP for more details.

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing any problems loading/viewing any other websites they frequently visit?

No problems viewing it here,
but then i dont use NTL's DNS, although I am currently using the default proxies for Winnersh.

I haven't heard of any problems using the site...

If you are using an ntl connection, have you tried changing proxy? if so does it make a difference?

You might not use them, but the caches do when fetching the pages for you. This constant blaming of ntl dns is a bit of a pointless red herring. I have tested them for every problem in the last two months where people blame "ntl's dns" and never found a single error. :D

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing any problems loading/viewing any other websites they frequently visit? I have the same problem accessing the website you mention. 'Server not found'. I also get the same when trying to access Suprnova (http://www.suprnova.org) but i can get around that by going through this (http://search.suprnova.org/) way and getting to the news page. The unfortunate thing is I cant get to this (http://69.50.170.101/site/upload_torrent) page and cannot find another way around it. I can do it from any other PC. Just not from here on NTL.
Baffling me. :dozey:

Anyone got any suggestions.

BTW, tried all the links with IE and Mozilla. Both give the same result.

Cheers

I dont as rule use the NTL proxies either,
the browser I use allows easy switching of proxies from a list,
and for that page I made sure I used an NTL proxy.
I would have also used NTL's DNS, but that was more involved and I didnt have the time to change over.
