DNS Issue - Reading Area?

Yo all..

On the whole my upload and download speeds are ok, with little packet loss.

However I find the DNS issues a pain at the moment, it can take 10 seconds or more to find the page - but it then loads fine. Changing proxy servers seems to make little different. But, going through VPN to work solves the problems (totally different network of course).

Anyone else seen similar, not sure this is related to the other ongoing problems.

A 10 second delay is unlikely to be a dns issue, but you can easily test it. Just go to a command prompt and type ping www.bt.com. It should respond with Pinging www.bt.com [62.7.244.127] with 32 bytes of data within a couple of seconds - if it does then your dns is fine, ping will not wait 10 seconds for a dns reply.
