and i've tried shift and F5I assume you mean you tried Ctrl+F5 and it didn't work ?

Shift+F5 does nothing in IE. You could add a ?1 to the end of the url.

Using Avant. The 1 thing is a good idea but that didn't work.
Oh well, I'll give it another go tomorrow

wouldn't work from Manchester tried ctrl + f5 three times with no affect in mozilla and same result in IE..

Have you got the right link?
Have the BBC changed their URLs recently?

IMPO if it was NTLs cache it should have cleared after the ctrl +f5..

Clear all your temporary internet files, close your browser, reload it and try again? I've had refresh problems before now that were caused by pages not clearing from the temp cache.

Same here, Notts area.

Had to clear a mates Temp Internet files so he could view a page using java script. His Adblocker embeds code into a page to block java script, but turning off the Adblocker and using CTRL + F5 didn't refresh the page, the embeded code was still there! Deleting the temp internet files forced the page to be downloaded from the site again and that worked!

IE was set to check for a new page every visit as well!

Hope they fix their damn proxy servers soon!

It depends, there are a few types of proxy servers which won't clear even after a ctrl+f5
