early morning routing problems

Recently during the last week I have been suffering from some strange short routing problems, I normally have various SSH sessions left open to multiple servers in EU and US and these are left open for days on end so I dont need to relogin when I do something and so I know when the server goes down. But 3 times in the past week connections have been dropping a lot on most of the servers for short periods of time between 2am and 5am I also have had disconnects of irc as well but the SACM doesnt drop altogether. Is there some maintenance been done or a problem that might be causing this? When I did traceroutes all seemed normal so I am a bit cofused as to what it could be.

I would suspect maintenance. The Server Status page only tells half the story.

At those times it is almost certainly network work/maintenance. :)

There's been some maintenance in the past couple of days that would have had some 'interesting' effects on ssh sessons, so long as it doesn't persist nothing to worry about though.
