Wanadoo has had a telling off from the Advertising Standards Authority over its use of the term 'full speed' to describe its 512k ADSL service.

BT and Telewest complained to the ASA that 'full speed' implied that 512k is as fast as broadband gets, whereas they both offer much faster services. Wanadoo in turn accused BT and others of muddying the waters by calling their own, much slower, entry-level products 'broadband'.
What I want to know is, what used to be 512k on NTL is now 750k (and man, am I loving it), so why do Wanadoo and others apparently still market 512k as the comparable product?
