International call barring

I have been making a lot of International calls lately. Yesterday I couldn`t get through, no dialling tone. I suspect that there is a bar in place on my line, I can dial local/national numbers. Is there anyone here who has any experience of this?

I cant contact cs until tomorrow to check. I would have thought a letter would be sent out before the restriction is placed on the line - if thats what has happened, although I have no idea if this is what has happened, just a hunch

sounds like that is the case IMO they tend to try to contact you by phone first if not a call bar gets put on the line and then a letter sent. It does depend on how much more than usual you are spending though. It sucks that you can't get it sorted befroe tomorrow though.

You might want to dial the International Operator using 155, they can offer connection in much the same way as the 100 operator.

And as far as I know there is no connection fee with Ntl although there is with Telewest.
