View Full Version : Worst car advert ever ?
Caught this advert for the new MG ZR today in The Mirror. Anyone else think they've fecked it up, cos to me, it looks like its saying its **** :) We all know the expression, 'like **** off a shovel' as in fast, but as you can see below the way they've worded it, the role of the MG ZR seems to be the **** :)

Sorry for bypassing the swear filter but it was kinda required.

So basically there are two types of people:
1. Ones who are familiar with the expression, so'll think the car's being equated with the smelly stuff, and
2. Ones like me who aren't, so the ad'll be meaningless.
You need a new ad agency guys :dunce: !
Fresh off the shovel   never heard that before  but yes advert is a bit **** as said ;)The saying is: 'Like **** off a shovel' ei. quick.

And the funny thing is, I bet it took 6 guys with ponytails, sitting around a large oak table sipping water out of green bottles 3 months to think up that slogan....
Ad executives....they make me laugh

Just been in the back garden clearing up after little doggie before cutting grass.
I discovered that the phrase is a lie.
Tried 3 times to flick it over next doors fence, 2 times it struck on the shovel the 3rd it flopped into the fence and not in a particular hurry.

Yeah they do, lol
Nah what it is I was shiftiong the stuff to the back gate, but it was easier to throw everyhtign over the fence....ours and neighbours fence before bagging it outside.
And before people get the wrong idea yeah I cleaned up our dogs mess and the mess of the other dogs that think our fence is a toilet.

whoever made that advert must have rented this movie:-
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099316
does anyone remember the porche slogan he came up with?
No, but the Volvo one was "They're boxey ...but they're good!"
edit: actually, IMDB have the Porsche quote....
Porsche. It's a little too small to get laid IN it, but you get laid the minute you get out of it!:D :D :D
