Is it possible to cancel my NTL phone and TV but keep the NTL Broadband?

I currently use a Set To Box to access to Net. and I am in Warrington (ex-cwc)

Thanks

A hypothetical scenario.

Could you keep phone and broadband and dump TV?

I already have the little grey brick sitting atop of my tower case. :D

I can't see a reason why not either.

Phone=£ 9.50 per month, broadband= £25.00 per month(depending on tier speed of course)

hedwig :welcome: to the site first of all :)

it is possible to do this as the others have said above if you have had the service for more than 12 months :)

Not in my case - and I live in Warrington!

I had TV and broadband through an STB (Set Top Box) plus telecoms from NTL. This was because, at the time I ordered it, NTL didn't offer a stand-alone broadband service. Then NTL changed their policy and, since my 12 months was well up, I called them and switched to broadband only. They did not remove the STB. Instead, the reconfigured it so that the televison service was restricted to channels 1 thru 7 only.

Later my STB failed and I voluntarily switched to a SACM (Stand Alone Cable Modem) - but that's another story.

I cancelled the TV package and kept BB and was advised to keep the Set Top Box as switching over to a standalone modem would mean opening a different type of account. The NTL chap said this would probably mean loss of service for a while.

I have now cancelled the telecoms as well and so only have BB with NTL.

The only option NTL cannot compute is CATV only (it has to be CATV + Telephone).

So you can have
BB
Phone
TV+Phone
BB+Phone
TV+Phone+BB
But you cannot have TV+BB
