So if I was sober and alone would this thing be any fun? Otherwise I'm going to assume a heavy dose of drunkness with friends is the only way I'm going to enjoy this thing. :D

Ok, since I've got 30+ hits on this thread and no one has replied, I'll just take that as "everyone else wants to know if its any good". So if anyone out there has an Eye-Toy and can form a written opinion, I'm all eyes. :D

Whats an eye toy ?, is it like a plastic eye that you thrown at people then tell em that they are being watched ?

Eye Toy is GREAT!!

Everyone who has been round since we got ours has been amazed. The gameplay is fairly easy (my 5 year old has all the high scores!) but a great party game, (sober or drunk!) :D

But........ probably not something you would play if alone.

Just spent a few hours on it then really had to play a serious game, GR on the XBox.
Good fun though, I liked the mirrors game the best. :)

Eye-Toy is one of the best and most inovative new concepts in a long while. Eye-Toy Play has to be the greatest console party game ever. I had a party and the Eye-Toy had everyone in hysterics at each others efforts. The best thing is that anyone can play it and get high scores, not just hard core console players! If you have not got it - get it! :)

You think that's bad, try having people watchin you play Samba de Amigo :)

One amusing use for the EyeToy that a friend and I tried was to point it at the traffic outside in the playroom mode. You can sit there watching the traffic while the spiders and bees attack every passing car.

As I said drunk-party game. My brother came back home from the pub last night with 4 mates and had our first go with EyeToy. It was so f*ckin funny. Got video footage of ppl playing. Give the nod to who ever came up with the idea. Brilliant concept. :D

Too right there, I can only play for an hour before my arms get too tired to hold up anymore :)

They should bring out and exercise dvd to use with the eyetoy, one where you follow a cartoon character, doing an areobic workout.

Also they could use hand movements in other types of programs in a similar vein to Minority Report.

I persuaded my mum it would be a good birthday present for my newly PS2 addicted step-father. We sat in tears of laughter watching all the men in the family make total pillocks of themselves today - I haven't laughed that hard in a long long while.
