Although the above statement by Monkeybreath is correct, I wander if NTL should be looking at the possibily of supporting a combined cable modem/router, this would mean(in my case) one less box of lights and a free electrical socket.

At the moment, with ADSL prices dropping, this may be something that sways my decision in a couple of months. Anyone know if NTL are testing any intregrated product along these lines?

I suppose it's "Watch this Space" then. I have tried to find one of these combined modem/routers for sale in the UK, but have not been successful as yet. I was toying with the idea of buying direct from the US. They are docsis 1.1 and 2 compliant so I am assuming that they would work. NTL permitting.

It's the "NTL permitting" that counts, the list that monkeybreath posted are the only docsis devices that are able to be registered on NTL's network, also I don't think that NTL will register anything on their network that they haven't provided you with.
