Actually the old 'carrots let you see in the dark' tale was used during the second World War, by the allies to hide the invention of radar, they let it be known that the pilots accuracy at night was due to a large diet of carrots - the germans believed this because of the general belief of carrots making you see in the dark.

Whatever it is, Vegetables are very good for you.
And at this time of year when fruit is in season, its time to eat it.

I had some strawberries last night. Very nice !!!
no need for cream or sugar, they are lovely on their own.

They are very good for you.

They can also be used to make Eton Mess, although I must confess to never having actually made it myself.

Every now and then you read about some mentally unbalanced veggie who decides that they can live on carrots or carrot juice. I believe that they turn a bright yellow (or is it red?).

The conditions themselves are the leading causes of irreversible visual loss in the developed world. They are caused (in general) by deposits of metabolic waste and a thinning of retinal layers. ;)
