As of Friday I am a BT customer

As I got home yesterday 13.00pm the engineer was waiting at the back door by 13.30 he had installed new cabling new line box connected the line re fitted a cable bracket on the roof and ported the phone number from ntl
As he was a very very nice man supplied me with 2 new ADSL phone sockets free of charge so I can connect to ADSL without micro filters
That’s what I call first class service

Aint it just.........It would be nice if they could provide me with a telephone that doesnt crackle in 2004.....still no joy! Moving house in September.......BT are resigned to losing my custom until then, when they suggest I 'Call them for great telephone deals' but why the hell would I want them back!

I too had a BT engineer come round this morning, a nice guy who did a good job.
I now have a BT phone.

It has the same number as my NTL one, and will not accept incomings calls, but I suppose thats only until NTL cut off my phone & fully release the number.
