anyone have anyideas what happened to the ntl wireless plans?

I don't think they bid for any of the licences - they certainly didn't win any.

netvigator has the worst name ever and having talked to their sales guys they will only go where broadband is already available as they want to compete with adsl - madness to me but anyway i was interested in the wirless things ntl were upto maybe they stopped :)

afaik ntl are trialling wireless (wi-fi) cable modems at the moment, but thats all i know about NTL's wireless plans.

yeah that was the news about 4 months ago - i had hoped they had moved on from that

Since they don't have a licence from Ofcom NTL won't be able to provide a commercial wireless broadband service.

Wireless between a cable modem and a PC is another matter. If this is all you want to do then just buy a wireless router from the likes of Linksys, Netgear or D-Link.
