Secure Format

Please could someone tell me how to securley format my harddrive.

Im going to be selling my computer and so I want to format my harddrive so that no one can get anything back from it?

My recommendation would be a format as Andre states, then create loads and loads of text files with garbage in copy them many times until disk is full then format again...

Or find a "WipeDisc" (norton used to do one) type util that will write a character to each sector of the disk, therefore making the disk data unrecoverable
