It means what it says - you have made 147 calls which will not be individually itemised on the bill - and in total they lasted for just over 122 Hours.

Itemised billing has been chargeable for about 2 years as far as I know.

Thats what i thought but ive not made 147 calls and Definitely not spent 122 hours on the phone and why do i get billed for them one month but not the next ? :disturbd: :disturbd:

But even if they're 'free' calls to a subscribed service, would they still not show up on your bill? Incidentally, what was the total cost of these unlisted items? If particularly low, then I would guess it's your dial up (0800?) number.

Free calls are not shown on the bill as they could cover calls such as calls to Childline etc.

I feel the same sometimes, I paid for the itemised bill, I dont get an itemised Bill NTL seem to think its still OK to say "oh yeah and heres some calls we couldnt be arsed to itemise, but hey it only costs you £18 (more than the rest of my bill) I'm sure you will accept our word for it and not need to see the numbers to check"

As for the 0800 numbers, I dont know if NTL dont print them out I am sure they do. I see loads of stuff under the NG headers meaning local rates etc.

NG1/NG3 (0845/0870) numbers are printed on the bill, however you'll never see an 0800 freefone number listed.

Well it looks like someone has made 147 calls - is your pc connected to the phoneline ?

If you speak to CS they may be able to tell you what the calls are, I'm not sure if they have access to a list even when they are not itemised on the bill you receive.

Did you get to the bottom of the 147 calls you never knew about?

From what I know, the 0800 calls will be on the "non-itemised" part of the bill, and will show up as calls made. They are non-itemised as there is no charge for the call, 0800 numbers such as childline, don't show up on the bill as they are removed.

0800 dial up numbers will show up, like I say, as calls made so this may be the majority of the 147 calls.

You'd notice that as they are premium rate and this seems to be a lot of cheap calls.

What is the number in the dial up properties when you connect to the internet (the first 5 digits is enough).

I don't suppose you were on some sort of "talk unlimited" package were you?

I am and I have itemised billing.

I only get itemised the calls I am charged for over and above my "free" calls. :)

I suspect that is the scenario - £2.48 cumulative charge outside of the inclusive calls.

Your NTL dial-up internet calls are included in the number of calls made and the duration of them is included in the usage hours.
