I installed RT Castle Wolfenstien on a friends computer

not an old machine - a year or so
and have played it ok on there myself

their graphics have gone 'all wobbly'
with it

not near them at present

I don't think its an issue with graphic card capabaility
and this friend has basic knowledge

any suggestions?

cheers

The graphics card probably can't handle a game as graphically intense as RTCW.

k - will do when I am at the machine again

it is a celeron 1.7 - will post all the other details
later but its probably one of those graphic on the motherboard things
but I have seen the game working ok on there
before now

sometimes i have found that the latest graphics driver is actually a backwards step , this happened to me a while ago using an nvidia driver :(

NVIDIA arrrhh don't go there. The trouble I had getting Battlefield Vietnam working. The said the newest one wouldn't work and to get xx so I did and it worked. I went to play another game the other day though and that game doesn't like that driver. That's the problem with NVIDIA there drivers are bobbings

I went down there after
(256ram)

and fooled about with some of the windows performance settings
eg - page caching and stuff

and it seems to be performing ok now
