I've been trying to get my webcam going now for the last few months without joy. Yesterday I thought I'll go and get another one to see if the new ones are any better, got it home set it up and then a little sign came up and said XP doesn't support this driver same as the old one did. I was well P***ED off by this time why is XP a arse???? I got the drivers off the Trust site and they don't work either.

Usually you will find that if no specific XP drivers are available then Windows 2000 drivers make an acceptable alternative.

when it says that the drivers are not signed by microsoft to use with windows XP just click the Conitnue Anyway button,

alls it means is that microsoft havent had the driver and authorised it yet...

what make did you get my sone got the cheap trust £15 job
on saturday and it works fine in xp:confused:

another daft one is i have a dexxa webcam and it uses logitech drivers :spin:
it works straight out of the box under xp
post the model or type and we will have a look , ok :D

It's a Trust space Cam Item number 13177.I've downloaded the driver from the site but XP won't have it.

My friends webcam wouldn't install full stop. What I ended up doing was overwriting the driver XP thought it should have with the cam driver and it worked fine eventually.

We went through the option of choosing the driver to install not searching for the best driver.
