The Internet on my STB is not Working
I've got a set-top box and I can not pick-up or send e-mail or browse the Internet, but I do get TV.
It could be that NTL has been performing maintenance on their network and the cable-modem part of the set-top box has become `virtually disconnected` from the universal broadband router at NTL.
Turn off the computer then unplug the set-top box from the main power supply for about a minute. When you turn on the set-top box, observe the middle of the three LEDs (This is the Pace STB, may be slightly different for other STBs). When the middle LED stops blinking, turn on the compter.
Sometimes an Internet connectivity fault could look complicated when in the majority of the cases it is better to do the basic checks first. Something that is easily and frequently overlooked.
