New phones?

Hi there,
does anyone know if there are new phones coming soon to VM? There are loads of new, exciting phones coming out soon and I can't see Virgin being interested? I believe they are not too interested in the mobile market. I would also introduce a new section on the website called 'Coming soon'?.

Every other network is ready to introduce the new phones and at VM, if you lucky, you get them 6 months after any other. I think is time to move elsewhere; Very disappointed.

Re: New phones?

What would you want to be in the section "coming soon"?

Re: New phones?

How would anyone know

If they did know because they work for virgin mobile, I would of thought they wouldn't be allowed to tell us anyway.
or am I wrong and the people on here who work for virgin mobile have no problem with that?

or is there any members who work for virgin mobile??

Re: New phones?

No mate, probably a misunderstanding. I meant a 'Coming soon' section on VM mobile website not on this forum! lol

Re: New phones?

Virgin's mobile phone selection is rubbish really, can be quite expensive (If PAYG) and most of them are pretty much old/out of date. I have £100 to put towards a new phone but there is never anything they have that I actually want. I'll probably end up doing what I've done the last few times I've wanted a new phone and just get handset I want sim free off ebay.

Totally agree, my contract is up in about 6 weeks, i spoke to a guy on the mobile section and asked him if they were getting any iphones in, he said that they were in discussion with Apple about being allowed to have them, seems like another "coming soon" line to me.

Re: New phones?

I was asked to do a survey for VM Mobile, I pointed out that whilst the deals themselves are reasonable, it's all for nothing if the handset choice is as crap as it is.

They want a bigger take up, they need to get a LOT better selection, some manufacturers are not even on the line up. Choice doesn't seem to be something VM has factored.

Re: New phones?

Wouldn't hold your breath for any new phones 'coming soon' their line up up is fairly limited. Like someone pointed out above, the tariffs are great as a VM customer, but handset choice is poor. I cancelled my VM contract and went to T-Mobile, got an iPhone and have never looked back.

Re: New phones?

It's ironic, then, that VMobile is a 'virtual' carrier who use both T-Mobile and now also the Orange networks for coverage

That was one of the reasons why I went to T-Mobile Carl as I'd always had a good signal with VM so I knew it would be the same if not better.

Re: New phones?

My Samsung Jet died and I've ended up buying the ZTE Tania Windows phone from VM. I know it's pretty much an entry level phone but the fact I've only paid £107.98 with p+p with my £100 discount makes me think it's a bargain! It only came today and I'm enjoying the big screen and the UI that Windows offers, I think I'll be happy with my purchase.
