Blackberry not displaying Virgin

I know it's a only a small thing, but until recently my Blackberry 9300 used to display Virgin as the network name. Now it displayes the host network (T-Mobile) instead.

All still seems to work ok, I was just wondering if there was any way to change it back?

Re: Blackberry not displaying Virgin

Virgin are in the process of migrating to the Everything Everywhere (the merged T-Mobile / Orange network) with some areas under trial, it could be that you are part of this.

When the testing is finished you could find it staying as Everything Everywhere. Try a difrent location thus using a different transmitter.

Re: Blackberry not displaying Virgin

My BB torch's either say Orange/T Mobile or vice versa. That is due to having one on each network. The other day the orange BB torch said that I was roaming due to picking up the new converged signal?

Sometime September is widely anticipated, VM originally said during the Summer then changed this to autumn. Guess it all depends on how the trial goes. Again it's only customer talk but I believe they are midway through a 6 week trail in certain areas after having run a previous trial on selected staff accounts.

Did they say what the problem was and why you needed a new sim?
