Best mobile deal ever? Samsung Galaxy S2

Has a Virgin Media customer, I decided to get my Mobile Phone contract with them. Got the HTC Desire April 2010. This was on an 18 Month contract-600 mins unlimited text and 1gb internet. Last Month (July 2011) I called Virgin to do with another matter and out of curiosity asked about my contact. The gentleman told me that I can upgrade today, 25th, if I wanted to. Asked him the top of the range phone he said the Galaxy S2. When I asked him how much, he said, 250 mins, unlimited text and 1gb Internet for £22.50per month. or £25.00 if I wanted 500mins.I said how much for the phone? he said it's free. That's a total of £405.00 and a free phone. It took me all of 5 seconds to say yes. And because of a cock up when changing my contract, they credited my account with a further £32.00.

Is this a good deal or does somebody have better.

Respect Gary

Also depends when your contract is up, complaining doesn't always get you an upgrade, I think Virgin do offer to upgrade 2 or 3 months early like most providers.

Re: Best Mobile deal ever?

I think it is best to contact them, they will usually offer you a deal 4/6 weeks before the end of your contract.
Tip: Do not threaten to leave. They will offer you the best possible deal if you talk to them nicely. Good luck

I rang them up about another issue, and during that conversation I was told I can upgrade early. Will have to pay 1 more month on my exsisting contract (£30.00) but was able to recieve the S2 1 day later. And truthfully, I am on a 12 month contract £15.50 per month and a free phone.

Just lucky I guess

Re: Best Mobile deal ever?

My wife upgraded from a sim only deal & got offered a free galaxy s2 on a 12 month contract for £15 a month, with 400 mins, unlimited texts & 1gb internet. She obviously took the offer before they changed their minds !

You need to call them. They let me upgrade two months early as well. Got the Galaxy S2 free as well a few weeks ago.

How did you manage that? On the VMobile website, the best deal I can see on the Galaxy S2 is £27.99 pm and that's for 24 months for VMedia customers.

Are you saying if you phone them you get offered a better deal ?
