Hi Big-Gaz,
If you haven't ordered yet my situation is similar in that the account is in my wife's name though the bills are paid via my bank account. My mobile is in my wife's name but it does not make any difference really to me as the user - as long as mum's okay with it I would say go for it you get a better deal.
