Upgrade fee?

If I take out a 24 month contract now and see a better phone available on Virgin Mobile in say, 6 month, apart from the jump in money per month, is there an upgrade fee?

You would have to pay an upgrade on any network to upgrade your phone 6 months into a 24 month contract.

I would never buy a 24 month contract, you can pay an extra £50 or so for your phone and get 18month contracts. Or pay even more and get a 12 month.

Also whatever phone you want now, if you do get it you'll see another phone in 6 months you'll want anyway. If its an iphone you're thinking of dont forget the iphone 5 is out in September with a cheap lower spec pay as you go version expected to be announced.

I think you would have to pay off the remaining term of your contract to upgrade early.

eg. My upgrade is due in October but if I do it now I would pay £90 for the 3 remaining months as my tariff is £30 a month.
