If its an iphone 4 you would need to cut down the sim card to Micro Sim size as VM don't currently offer a micro sim.

So anyone presently using one must be using an earlier model.

No you can cut the sim down to size using a template or you can buy a cutter online to make sure you get it the right size and don't damage the chip.

I have seen posts by people using a Virginmedia sim in an iPhone but unsure who.

I used to use my virgin sim in an iPhone. It was a 3G so no cutting needed
