Number Unavailable

Hi, we have the caller display on our phone and we keep getting a call and all it Say's is number unavailable could it be Virgin Media phoning or does there number show up?

If the caller withholds their number, that is the message you will get.

It depends on your phone

Mine says WITHHELD if the caller withholds their number

Unavailable if the number is not available (some foreign exchanges dont put a calling number in)

it can also be blank, I assume this is different to unavailable somehow

I also get silly number like 09120 or 0000 which I think is an attempt to get those subsribers who bar withheld numbers from calling them.

I had a feeling it would be a foreign exchange or something like that, i wouldn't be suprised if it was Sky trying to sell me there TV service.
