Blackberry Pearl free phone offer

My SIL is thinking of getting this - costs about £20 a month.
Is it a good phone/deal?

The HTC Desire for the extra £5 is a much better phone.

We both agree the Desire is a lovely phone but defeats the object :-)

Even the X8 has 3G on that page and is a lot cheaper again plus it is an Android phone.

It is a very good phone as many of my colleagues have gone with that model.

My daughter has the HTC Desire from Virgin and it's a really excellent mobile. It's worth the extra £5-.
