SIM change question

OK, when the wife bought her LG Optimus GT540 from Carphone Warehouse on PAYG it was supplied with a T Mobile £10 SIM. We're all on Virgin Mobile here but CW didn't offer the phone on Virgin so, as their phones are sold unlocked, the idea was to just put her Virgin SIM in and use that. That was fine but she still has most about £6 of the T Mobile credit left on the old SIM and doesn't want to lose it so I suggested putting it back in her phone and using the credit to buy some apps for the phone which she can then continue to use when she reverts back to the Virgin SIM. My question is, are there likely to be any issues when swapping these SIMs? Having spent ages setting it up she'd hate to lose anything by putting in a new SIM and finding, for example, that she loses stuff, settings are reset, apps don't work or whatever. Can anyone clarify please?

TVM as always!

Re: SIM change question

The only issue I can see is if any contacts were on SIM as opposed to phone, then they will be lost (as on the SIM). If the phone is unlocked then all should be well. Any data access points may get deleted with the t-mobile sim going in if they are anything like O2 that try to reset settings everytime they get put in a phone.

Re: SIM change question

Anything saved to the phones memory or SD card will remain but as Haydenwalker says they may require the T-Mobile sim to work, I can see no reason for any other settings to change either.

Also ensure that you have copied her contacts to the phone from the sim so that she can then copy them to the new sim.
