What's the benefit of a Virgin Media customer taking out a Virgin Mobile contract?

As the title says, what is the benefit?

Is it only unlimited calls between Virgin mobiles or is there a £5/10 a month discount on the prices mentioned on the Virgin Mobile website?

I did that yesterday, and I don't really see any "better" deals for existing VM customers. That's why I am asking, what is the difference? It seems at most you only get unlimited Virgin to Virgin calls...... is that it?

The two things are getting the Virgin to Virgin calls, the other is being able to get a handset free on the next tariff down than normal

e.g. If a handset is usually free on a £30 tariff, then a Media customer can get it on the £25 tariff

Was thinking about getting a couple of Virgin mobiles,one for me and one for her indoors,thought there might be a bit more benefit in getting the lot though Virgin,but seems not.
Think i`ll stick to orange,at least i know the signals are ok,not sure what Virgin coverage is like?

Thanks Ben... so in effect a £5 a month saving... although you would get fewer mins/texts than the above tarriff, but it probably doesn't matter too much I guess =)

If most of your calls are virgin to virgin , then its a brilliant deal.
Mine are and i get a good free phone all for £10 a month .

The free Virgin/Virgin calls between landline and mobile is a big seller for me. The wife is on Virgin and has been for a few years and her signal always trounced O2's wherever we went, so I took the plunge and made the switch to a Blackberry with VM. Service has been superb, support teams have been first class (although paying to call CS is a pain!). Online billing is easy to use, even with multiple handsets on a tarriff.

Now we have free calls between mobiles and also from the landline to each of our mobiles which is always handy, and with more of my amily switching over it makes it a good deal all round.

This is the thing. I hardly know anyone on Virgin Mobile, which makes the "cheapest" option usually 3 (unless you go via cashback sites)....... now currently being with 3, I know cheapest is not always best

I was under the impression that free calls were virgin mobile phones rather than to virgin media landlines, still I will be leaving Virginmobile quite soon so it really makes little difference.

You get free to calls to other Virgin Mobiles on the Mobile, however you get free calls (within your plan times) to Virgin Mobiles from Virgin landlines as well

I was thinking of getting the HTC Wildfire, but apart from the free calls to any Virgin mobile I can't see any
